I can’t begin to express my gratitude for the detailed attention and care we have received from Dr. Bates and staff. After a couple of days of our beloved senior pup vomiting at home, we reached out to Bates Animal Hospital with our concerns. They jumped right on getting him in that day. A detailed conversation and an X-ray strongly suggested that our pup had consumed something that was blocking his stomach. Dr. Bates calmly, but confidently recommended same day surgery to remove the foreign matter. And just in time because this urgent decision prevented the blockage from progressing to what I’m sure would have been fatal had it not been removed. And the post surgery care from the entire staff has been impeccable, with kindness (even with an episode of explosive post surgery diarrhea that could peel paint off the walls). Now we are home loving on our senior pup and thankful that we have more time with him, because time is precious with our pooch who loves us so unconditionally.

Everyone is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. My cat had a rare condition but they knew what to do to help heal her and now she is doing great! They have been there for me through the puppy and kitten stages and the end of life difficulties with care. Our two dogs and four cats are all patients and after interviewing them - they gave an average of 4.7 stars only because they said the shots would some times make them too sleepy to chase squirrels 🤗.

Dr. Bates and all the staff are so wonderful. The office is clean and everyone is professional and kind. I’m thankful for their great care and highly recommend this office.
